APAS OBD Link 1.0.0

Publisher Description

Automotive Parts & Accessory Systems (APAS) R&D Centre was established by the government of Hong Kong. We conduct contract researches pertaining to automotive technologies.

APAS OBD Link is part of our automotive diagnostic project in which we created an on-board diagnostic (OBD) gateway for HEV/EV in compliance with:
ISO 14229-1: Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS)
ISO 15765-3: Implementation of UDS on CAN
XCP calibration is also integrated into the ECU software.

The automotive diagnostic software is embedded into our VCU (Vehicle Controller Unit) which can be configured as either HEV or EV. This app provides inside parameters of the powertrain systems via Bluetooth connection. It can also be used as an OBD scanner for Nissan Leaf with a Bluetooth OBD interface dongle.

The VCU software was developed using MBD (Model Based Development). Common diagnostic services and protocol services were defined using specialized tool. Machine code was auto generated to eliminate hand coded errors and enhance productivity.

For more information about our vehicle system & diagnostic technologies, please contact us at apas_info@hkpc.org.
